The ACT Fellowship is an opportunity for young professionals to learn what it takes to leverage venture philanthropy for creating social impact at scale.
If you’re looking to build your career in social impact, pivot your professional journey towards impact investing or hope to become a social entrepreneur, this program will offer you a platform to learn from leading investors and startup founders to help you gain real-world experience in venture philanthropy.
The ACT Fellowship is an intensive experience that enables you to learn what it means to apply venture capital principles to philanthropy.
As an ACT Fellow, you’ll work with one of our 4 focus areas i.e. ed-tech, public healthcare, climate action or gender inclusivity.
Fellows will work with the ACT team on a wide array of projects including sector research, dealflow sourcing, due diligence, investment pitches, portfolio management, impact assessment, collaborative programs, industry events & partnerships etc.
We’re highly selective about who we invite into the program to ensure that our Fellows have an incredible peer-learning experience as well.
All Fellows will be paid a stipend of Rs. 60,000 per month and each graduating Fellow, on successfully completing the program, will receive an experience letter from ACT and, on request, a letter of recommendation from a member of our board of advisors.
Here’s a snapshot of some of the distinguished leaders Fellows can expect to learn from:
Ambitious go-getters who can think on their feet, are hungry to learn, enjoy taking on challenges and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Individuals who deeply believe that innovation can accelerate social impact and are abreast of the latest technology trends in the impact space.
Aspiring change-makers who are genuinely interested in the social sector and want to catalyse meaningful change.
Sharp thinkers with a bias for action who are intrigued by the idea of applying venture capital principles to social impact.
The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the Fellowship is to be a resident Indian citizen, a graduate of any discipline from an accredited university in or outside India and have at least 2 years of startup/investing/consulting/social sector work experience.
ACT For Education
As a Fellow, my experience has been nothing short of transformative. The Fellowship provided the perfect launchpad for my journey in the impact space, fueling my passion to pursue impact investing after my masters. To all young professionals who are curious to learn about tech-focused social innovations, I recommend the ACT Fellowship as an unparalleled pathway to unlock your potential to drive meaningful change.
ACT For Health
The work environment at ACT is enabling, encouraging, and pushing each other's boundaries to do your best. At a young stage of my journey, I have had the chance to take ownership and lead projects, with constant mentorship and direction from the team. My biggest takeaway has been that I am more confident in my problem-solving abilities and improved communication with a range of stakeholders.
ACT For Health
The Fellowship has been an incredible journey of growth, continuous learning, and unwavering support. Throughout the program, I had the privilege of immersing myself in ACT's ecosystem of visionary VCs & inspiring social entrepreneurs. This exposure deepened my understanding of critical healthcare issues, broadened my perspective on innovative solutions and ignited a strong sense of responsibility to create lasting impact.
ACT For Environment
The ACT Fellowship program was an incredible opportunity for me to learn from experts in the social impact space, gain hands-on experience in venture philanthropy, and build my leadership skills. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this program and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is passionate about making a difference in the world.
ACT For Women
The ACT Fellowship is unlike any other experience in the social impact space! I came to ACT to explore how impact funding can be done differently and the Fellowship has taught me that and so much more. Few people think of impact the way ACT does. Through ACT, I've learnt that it's okay to fail on our journey to innovate and build for India - but it's not okay to stop trying!
