Creating The First Wave Of Change

In March 2020, ACT came into being to help India’s public healthcare ecosystem battle the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The collective rallied together to raise 100 Cr, mobilize 100+ volunteers and catalyze 37 strategic partnerships with the aim of deploying capital-efficient, scalable tech-led solutions that could fight the spread of the pandemic.

Through the 1st wave, we were able to support 54 such solutions which impacted 49 Mn+ lives across 30 states & UTs. Among others, our grantees included the likes of:

  • Created a digital dashboard for 5 state governments that included geofencing of quarantined patients, cluster analysis of the spread, location tracking with CDR & predictive analysis for spatial spread.

  • Developed SAANS PRO – a non-invasive ventilation system that provided respiratory support to moderately severe hypoxemic Covid patients and CPAP – a ventilation helmet which prevented the spread of infection from the patient’s exhalation, cough etc.

  • Digitally equipped citizens from low-income communities with facilities that would help them financially & get them the required essentials to tide through the lockdown period and thereafter.

  • Launched Housejoy Care & worked with Bangalore’s local government to transform 4 KSRTC buses into mobile COVID healthcare clinics which provided subsidized blood, sugar, BP and COVID testing.

...and many more.
